Stamp (BZZ)

One of the requirements to upload to a Swarm network is a valid postage batch, also called a postage stamp or simply a stamp (BZZ). Stamps are purchased by BZZ token; when you buy them on the DeDrive platform, for your convenience, the amount needed will be deducted from your DeDrive total balance. The same stamp can be used across multiple pods, so you can just buy one. When buying stamps, you can adjust and set the parameters on the length and space of the stamps. Learn how to buy stamps here.

Create Pod Details

Each pod you create is a bucket that can hold dozens of folders with countless files. Learn how to create a pod here.

Storage Provider

Current BitTorrent File System (BTFS), Swarm (BZZ) and IPFS are available as Storage Provider when selecting; you can choose more than one storage provider, we recommend choose at least two or more storage providers to increase the recovery chances if required. Please purchase a BZZ stamp if you choose a BZZ storage provider.

Chunk Pod

When you chunk a pod, your assets within a pod will be chunked, increasing the security and higher chances of recovering a file in case the asset is corrupted; it might take longer to upload and download larger files when you choose to chunk the pod. This setting cannot be changed once the pod is created.

Access Control

When choosing the access control, you can grant public access and in the future, share your folder with others. By not selecting “Public Access” the pod will be Private, and only you will be able to view the files in it. This setting cannot be changed once the pod is created.
